The Kiss oF Death

Here is an Artist to watch in 09 with releases on PHZero, Renaissance, Misfit, and Forensic his latest Kiss of Death released on CR2 the 5th has already become a favorite in Ibiza. It is a housey minimal track and the Radio edit is jut incredible. He is a Bristol native that eventually caught on as a DJ in 2006 with two residencies including Electroquisite. Production followed soon after and his first track Screamo on PHZero that recieved MTV Play.

Bristol Pride

He's known from Portland To Moscow. He has mixed Dubstep Allstars and has been featured on the resident Adviser Podcast playing Dubstep, House, Techno, and everything in between. He goes by the name of Appleblim and is one of the owners of Rooted Records U.K. that has pushed the underground Dubstep scene and become the last vinyl store in Bristol. Appleblim has had various releases on Skull Disco and has started up his own label, Apple Pips, with releases from Martyn, Peverelist, Jus Wan, T++, and Ramadanman.

Alex Alicea & Jorge "DJ Lace" Jaramillo have put together part two of shiny disco balls on the Subliminal Label. It is a beautiful funky piece of work that dropped on the 5th and some of the best I have heard so far this year.

Ragga Jungle

Found this cool compilation the other day featuring some of the best of the 90's era Jungle including tracks from the likes of Chuckleberry, Simpleton, & Garnett Silk. Desert Storm went on to release 2 other Ragga Jungle compilations and various Electronic music compilations alongside Sony. The Album has a rough but beautiful vocal sound with jumpy & gritty Breaks. It is difficult to get ahold of so consider yourself lucky if you own a hardcopy.

The Agent

After blasting onto the D & B scene in 2006 with his first release on Random records
New Zealand, Agent Alvin has been an integral artist ever since. With a background in classical and jazz music his tracks have brought a lot of soul to the scene. He currently releases on Viper, Full Cycle, Commercial Suicide and Hospital. Expect great future releases.

Dorian Concept

Dorian Concept aka. Austrian Oliver Thomas Johnson has had various experimental releases with his latest being When Planets Explode on his own label. He is well known for the F*cking Formula and his insane live performances. His name refers to the Dorian scale which is the first he ever improvised on.
